Below you will find a continuation of our concepts overview. The concepts on this page are predominantly works of fiction and typically range from General Audiences (G) to Parental Guidance (PG-13). Proposals are side projects that have mostly been started, but are waiting for sufficient support — or needing a commission — to complete. Panamanian canal pilot Manuel witnesses a conspiracy that will have devastating consequences for the Western economy — unless his daughter can stay one step ahead of the conspirators.
Port pilot Manuel is asked to guide a Liberian-flagged cargo ship safely through the Panama Canal. Although tagged as a simple procedure, he notices an unusually tense atmosphere aboard the ship. Things get worse when Manuel goes to the restroom and accidentally bumps into some foreign soldiers carrying explosives. Watched with suspicion, he nervously returns to the bridge deck only to be told that he is urgently needed on a tanker in distress and a replacement will take over. While waiting on the helicopter deck to be picked up, Manuel tries in vain to contact his daughter Lucia, who works at the port authority. A move he instantly regrets when a bullet pierces his chest and he is left for dead on the platform. Not knowing whether Lucía will see his message, or gets tracked down before she can do anything, one thing is certain: dying is not an option.
Some believe life is about passive luck, while others are convinced they can take a gamble with their chances. But what if the heart gets a play in it?
Alman is a young talented hitman with one thing in his sights: getting ahead in his work and fast. Hired by the shadowy French company Corpeux SA, his sixth job appears to be a routine one in a Las Vegas resort. There he has to deal with flamboyant businessman and casino owner John Bestov. The hit, however, takes an unexpected turn when Bestov is kidnapped, and the FBI suspect his involvement. This news falls badly on Corpeux SA who now consider Alman as a liability that needs to be neutralized. In haste, female assassin Ziva is sent after Alman, who is on his way to the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow where he tracked down Bestov. In the ensuing nerve-racking confrontation, both hitmen are overpowered by Bestov's captors and end up on the Transmongolia Express bound for China. Once on board, they learn that Bestov works as a trafficker for a corrupt branch of the FBI. Not only has Bestov conned Corpeux SA, but also Chinese leader Hu, who is eager to get his money back. Although Hu has had Bestov abducted, the real Baccarat game is yet to be played. When an inspection at a train station reveals that the FBI have put a price on Alman’s head — and Corpeux SA want to get rid of Ziva as well — the cards are reshuffled.
In the background, a shot-off candle drowned slowly in its own paraffin, sending a last plume of smoke skywards.
It was difficult to grasp what had just unfolded before her very eyes.
The now lifeless body that lay across, had been Ziva's last hope.
"A ruthless player, really," said John with a raw but soothing voice.
"Never begged for anything in life until, down on his knees, playing the mercy card at gunpoint."
Ziva frowned as she crouched down next to John, who'd just ruined their chance for a diplomatic outcome.
"Let's leave," she whispered. "Chinese officials are not going to take this shoot-out kindly."
John turned his head briefly and squinted sidelong at Ziva; in his eyes this wild, primal look Ziva had come to know so well.
"I bet he'd been at the other side of the trigger a hundred times before," he continued, vigorously suppressing a grimly smirk.
"Should have known death ain't playing no jokers, right?" But Ziva just stared motionless.
She couldn't help only seeing John's bleeding poker hands trembling. "Are you sure you're ok?" she asked.
"Yeah... only a little blood," he said with a pain distorted face. "Here, hold my gear for a bit, I need to retrieve that token."
“Don’t, don't take it off!" Ziva snarled, dodging the outspread arm. "What token are you talking about?
We have no time for this, the safe house... it has been exposed."
"Dammit, don't you think I know that?!" shouted John.
"I'd rather bleed to death than leaving it here."
Overbuilt is set out in California, where a luminary architect refuses to adhere to the norm. It is based on the professional life of former SCI-Arc architect Glen Howard Small.
Inspired by Robin Hood's treehouse and diligently seeking solutions against the environmental threats of the 1970s, American visionary architect Glen Small designs a biomorphic biosphere to replace Los Angeles. The result: a mega structure that is unlike anything the architectural world has seen before. His architectural vision, however, does not sit well with the mainstream fashion design architects. They fear the revolutionary mind of Small, who has also started teaching, and collectively try to drive him out of business. Small, who now has to make ends meet, refuses to give up on his ideas though. A brilliant vision, created to save the world, thus becomes a threat to his own existence.
