Oakscape™

Oakscape Holistic Concepts (hereafter Oakscape) is a burgeoning branch sprung up from Oaklife, LLC in 2021. In the Oakscape panorama also blooms Lily's Oak (imprint). Together we develop captivating cross-media concepts.

How is my personal data being treated?

Oakscape currently operates two servers, one in the USA and the other in Europe, with the latter using LSCache technology provided by Lite Speed Technologies Inc. Although we do not directly offer any services to the general public, we value a transparent relationship with anyone who reaches out to us and recognise the importance of respecting and protecting personal information. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal information you provide to us will be processed (meaning collected, stored, and otherwise used) by Oakscape. Furthermore it sets out what you can expect from us and gives you our contact details if you wish to ask any questions or raise concerns about how we are processing your personal information.

What data and for what purposes?

Oakscape does not target or perform analysis of visitor behavior, simply because we have no business interest in such data. Oakscape collects only the information you may provide to us when you are accessing our websites. This includes information that you provide when you are corresponding with us by email, post, telephone (optional in webform) or otherwise (via settings) to:

  • change the site's theme,
  • subscribe to one of our services,
  • place an order,
  • request content,
  • ask for a complimentary script or other information from Oakscape.

To do this, we process the following contact details of our visitors: first name and surname, address, telephone number (optional) and e-mail address. In your browser, a choice for either the 'Day' or 'Night' theme is stored by means of the: localStorage.setItem("theme", "night") function.

All the above information is used to deliver Oakscape's products and services to you and or carry out obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from Oakscape (as is necessary for the performance of those contracts).

Is my personal data safe?

The security of your personal data is important to us, but despite our efforts, we cannot promise that our security program will always eliminate all possible security risks. Oakscape uses commercially reasonable efforts to safeguard and protect the security of all data, inclusive of any personal information collected by us through our site(s). Furthermore Oakscape does not use Google Analytics, social media buttons (Twitter, Facebook) and advertisements that track you, nor do we share your information with any third parties. For your safety we DO use a secure connection via HTTPS and are a self-hosted site.

What rights do I have as Data Subject?

We undertake to respect the rights of Data Subjects as they are provided in the General Data Protection Regulation (visitors from the US, please browse to our CCPA policy) :

  • to know (be informed) about the processing of your personal data (right to know);
  • to have an access to your personal data and to be informed of how they are processed (right to access);
  • to request to correct or supplement the incomplete personal data (right to rectify), taking into account the purposes for the processing of personal data;
  • to require to destroy your personal data or suspend the processing of your data (except for storage) (right to destroy and right to “be forgotten”);
  • to request to restrict the processing of personal data;
  • To data transfer;
  • to object against the processing of personal data;
  • other legal rights applicable to the processing of Personal Data.

Oakscape is offered to you on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The contents of our pages have been created with the utmost care. However, we cannot guarantee the contents' accuracy, completeness or topicality, nor do we endorse or recommend any linked websites. We have no influence on the contents of the linked external sites and are not responsible for them. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

Liability

We are liable for damages according to the statutory provisions unless otherwise stated below. In the case of breach of obligation – on any legal ground whatsoever – we are responsible for intent and gross negligence. In the case of simple negligence, we are liable only for

  • damage due to injury to life, body or health, and
  • damage due to serious breach of a fundamental contractual obligation (obligation the performance of which at all enables the due performance of the agreement and on the compliance on which the contractual partner usually relies and is entitled to rely). In that case, the liability is, however, limited to reimbursement of foreseeable and typical loss.

The above limitations of liability also apply in favour of all people involved with Oakscape.

For claims under the Product Liability Act, the statutory provisions apply exclusively. Claims for damages against Oakscape shall become statute-barred after twelve months from the date of their creation, unless they are based on intentional or grossly negligent acts.

Artificial Intelligence and Scraping (Datamining)

All works on this site are copyrighted. In addition, it is not allowed to scrape and use the content on Oakscape.net for AI-training purposes and recognition databases. This includes, but is not limited to Copilot, DALL-E mini (Crayon) Dall-E, Dall-E-2, OpenAI GPT-2, GPT-3, Google TRC, Midjourney and Clearview AI.
